Yalgoo is 3,333 hectares in size and elevated approximately 1,166 metres above sea level. Our average rainfall is 750 millimetres per year. The soil type is loamy pipe clay with a smaller area of basalt. Most of our pastures are improved. As well as our two studs we run a commercial merino flock totalling 15,000 head and we are currently rebuilding our commercial poll hereford herd following the drought.
